Prepare for personal financing with a clearer strategy
Applying for personal financing involves more than choosing a lender and submitting an application. Your credit profile, income, existing obligations, documentation and the type of financing you need can all affect how an application is evaluated.
We help you review where you stand, organize the information that may be needed and build a more intentional strategy before you apply.
Service in English and Spanish from our Miami office, with virtual consultations available when appropriate.

Applying without a plan can make the process harder
Before you apply, it helps to review the factors that may shape how a lender or provider evaluates your application:
- Where your credit profile stands today
- Your income and how it is documented
- The obligations you already carry
- The documentation you have available
- The goal behind the financing
- The amount you are considering
- What a monthly payment would realistically look like
- The type of product you are evaluating
- Whether this is the right time to apply
- Provider requirements, when that information is available
Preparation does not guarantee approval, but it helps you submit an application that is organized and gives you a clearer picture of what you are actually asking for.
Thinking about personal financing?
These are common situations among the people who come to talk with us before applying for financing.
- You need to cover a significant expense
- You are considering consolidating certain debts
- You received an offer and the terms are not clear to you
- You want to review your credit before applying
- You were already declined
- You are not sure where it would make sense to apply
- You want to avoid unnecessary applications
- You need to get your documents organized
- You want to better understand APR, interest rates and fees
- You are not sure what monthly payment is sustainable
- You want a second look at your situation before applying
- You simply do not know where to start
Before applying, it helps to understand both your own situation and the terms of the financing you are considering. Personal financing is not necessarily the right answer for every situation.
Understand what you are applying for before you decide
Personal financing generally involves receiving funds under agreed credit terms and repaying them according to the conditions set by the provider.
Not all personal financing looks the same: the terms can vary significantly between products and institutions.
- Amount
- Interest rate
- APR
- Fees
- Term
- Monthly payment
- Requirements
- How the funds are disbursed
- Penalties or other charges, when applicable
Our role is to help you be better prepared
What Alemay Business does
Alemay Business does not lend the money. Our work is to help you review your situation, prepare your profile and documentation, and build a strategy around what to prepare, when it may make sense to apply and which types of options are worth evaluating.
When appropriate, we can help you identify banks or loan brokers to consider, including institutions or professionals with whom we have established relationships. Those relationships do not guarantee approval or any particular terms.
Once your profile, documentation and strategy are ready, you submit the application to the institution yourself.
What the financial institution does
The financial institution, bank, lender or provider is the one that evaluates the application, sets the requirements, determines the rate, the APR, the amount and the terms, makes the credit decision and disburses the funds if the application is approved.
That final decision always belongs to the provider, not to Alemay Business.
Don't look only at the monthly payment
Understanding each part of the cost puts you in a better position to compare what you are being offered.
Interest rate
Part of what it costs to borrow money.
APR
Often reflects the cost of credit more broadly, since it can include the rate plus certain applicable charges.
Term
The period set for repaying the obligation.
Monthly payment
The amount required on a recurring basis under the applicable terms.
Fees
Charges that can vary by product and by provider.
Total cost
A lower monthly payment does not necessarily mean a lower total cost.
Compare terms, not just amounts
Two offers that look similar on the surface can be very different once you read the details:
- A different APR
- Different interest rates
- Different fees
- Different terms
- Different payments
- A different total cost
We help you understand and compare what you are evaluating. We do not promise a particular rate or the lowest rate on the market: the terms are set by each provider.
Every lender applies its own criteria
Depending on your case and the product, an application may involve factors like:
- Credit history
- Credit score
- Income
- Existing obligations
- Debt-to-income considerations
- Payment history
- Income stability or verification
- The amount requested
- Identity information
- The provider's own internal criteria
- The specific product being requested
Not every provider uses the same criteria or makes decisions the same way. There is no universal minimum credit score that applies across institutions.
An application deserves a strategy
This is where we add the most value: it is not only about completing an application, but about deciding deliberately what to prepare, when it may make sense to apply and which types of options are worth evaluating.
What to present
Organizing your documentation and relevant information so an application is submitted with complete, consistent and well-organized information.
When to apply
Looking at whether anything important is worth addressing or clarifying before you submit an application.
Which options to evaluate
Considering which types of institutions or products may be worth evaluating based on your situation.
A strategy does not guarantee approval. The final decision always belongs to the lender or provider.
Your credit profile can shape your options
Personal credit can be one of the factors a provider considers when evaluating an application, alongside income, existing obligations and the documentation submitted. Personal Credit and Personal Financing are related, but they are different services.
If your credit profile needs attention before you apply, the same team can work with you through our Personal Credit service.
Working on your credit does not guarantee that financing will be approved.
What the service can include
The scope depends on your situation: someone who is just starting to look at options does not need the same work as someone who was already declined.

Our process
A structured process based on your starting point. Timing depends on your situation and on the provider involved.
Initial review
We review your goal, your credit profile, your financial situation and what you are trying to accomplish.
Preparation
We organize the information and documentation that is relevant to your case.
Application strategy
We define what to prepare, when it may make sense to apply and which types of options are worth evaluating.
Ongoing support
We guide you through the process and help you understand the next steps.
Information we may need
This is a general reference — what is actually needed depends on your case.
- Valid identification
- Income information
- Income documentation
- Employment information, when relevant
- Existing obligations
- Credit information
- Relevant financial documents
- The purpose of the financing
- The approximate amount you are considering
- Any additional information required by the institution involved
Requirements can vary by provider and by product. During the review we will tell you what applies to your situation. Never send your Social Security number, full bank details or other sensitive information through unauthorized channels.
Before applying again, it helps to understand what happened
Submitting another application right away without reviewing the prior decision may lead to another decline and can add unnecessary inquiries.
We cannot reverse a provider's decision, but we can review the available information with you and help you prepare more carefully before another application. Sometimes the better next step is not to apply yet.
- The reasons the provider reported to you
- Your credit
- Your income
- Your existing obligations
- The amount requested
- The documentation submitted
- The information included in the application
- The requirements of the product
The amount available is not always the amount that makes sense
Before taking on an obligation, it is worth looking at:
- The payment
- The term
- The total cost
- Your existing obligations
- Your budget
The decision should account not only for how much you could receive, but for how much you can sustainably repay under the terms offered. This page is informational and does not replace an individual review of your situation.
